What we keep.

Your coach can read your conversations. Everything you type to the tutor is saved, and the staff at your site can open it. That is not a trap and it is not a secret: it is how an adult notices when something is wrong. Every time someone reads yours, the system writes down who it was.

If you say something worrying, we stop and tell someone. If a message sounds like you might hurt yourself, or like someone is hurting you, the tutor stops, puts some phone numbers on your screen, and lets a member of staff know. It is set up to be careful, so sometimes it will do that when you were only quoting a book. That is fine. Nobody is in trouble.

Your name is not sent to the AI. The tutor is a program run by another company. Before anything you type is sent there, we take out your name, any address, phone number or email, and anything else that could identify you. The company that runs it never learns who you are. It is told your grade band and the problem you are working on, and nothing else.

We do not collect much. We keep your first name and last initial, a username, your date of birth, your site and your grade band. That is it. We do not hold your address, your phone number, your grades, or anything about your family. We never asked for them, so we cannot lose them.

Your work is not used to train anything. What you write is not used to make the AI better. It is used to help you and to let your coach see how you are getting on.

There is no way to sign yourself up. Accounts are made by staff, for students in Flint Center programmes, after a parent or guardian has said yes. If you want your account closed, ask your coach and they will close it.
